Association History of the association
After several unsuccessful attempts to set up an Association of Alumni in France in the 1970s, an informal Association was set up in Paris in October 1982 on the instigation and with the encouragement of Dr Anne Bohm acting on behalf of the then Director of LSE, Ralf Dahrendorf. The initial meeting of some 20 Alumni took place at the residence of the Canadian Ambassador (himself an Alumnus of LSE) and three officers were elected: President: Etienne Dalemont, Secretary: George Grosz, Treasurer: Bernard Lefevre.
